[Grainne is a sixth-year Ravelclaw. She's somewhat infamous around Hogwarts, even. She hates the illogical nature of magic, she's been desperately trying to force reason and scientific method onto it, and even comes back from her summer vacations with stacks of papers about things like the recessive genetics of magic that might cause squibs or muggleborn wizards and witches.
Naturally, she... doesn't have many friends at Hogwarts. The traditional witches and wizards, the purebloods, the ones who care the most about magic as it is, hate her for disrupting the natural order of things. The other muggleborns dislike her for trying to force reason on magic, to make magic too much like their non-magic schools. Grainne is more or less constantly alone.
She's also incredibly stressed, and more than a little lonely, but she will never, ever admit to it.
But, hey, maybe she can get some stress relief??]
