[After a rather... enlightening, conversation with Stacia earlier, Reva's got a ton of weird thoughts flying around in her head. The suggestion still plays in her mind- Ask Cass for help. And for... other things.
Absentmindedly, without even intending to, she finds herself at Cass's door. Crap.
Well, no chickening out now. She knocks, a bit hesitantly.]
Oh, I don't spy on my friends. Though I do have some alerts set up to notify me if one of you gets into trouble and needs help. So, yeah, you'll have to tell me.
[Cass turns her chair to face Reva more directly.]
You want a sex module? Yeah, that's more than doable. But since you don't have a standard frame, I'll have to take a closer look at you to figure out how to do that.
[Mainly by being desensitized to any embarrassment associated with sex.]
I understand, so because you were created in the specific image of a person, you have everything that person had. I can see you're already blushing hard enough so I won't specify there.
[She leans forward.]
I'm going to try and access your AI core, if you're willing to give me your permission to do so. I need to see how hard it'll be to install modules.
[And there're the flames of her soul arts lighting up, a series of black and white bars in specific patterns akin to that of binary code.]
Hmm. This... okay, I'm in. Now to take a closer look at your code.
[There's a pause for a while before she sits back, shaking her head in amazement.]
Wow. Your father, or creator... actually how do you view him? Anyways, he was a genius. Which is only going to make this harder. The code in your AI core, it's the most unique code I've seen. I'm not sure some of it even is code but I don't know what else it could be. It's almost like someone tried to map a human brain onto an AI core... I guess that's exactly what happened. I can't even figure out in such a short time how it all even holds together.
[She taps her desk.]
It might take at least the whole afternoon to puzzle this out. Maybe, uh, you might want to grab a book from those shelves over there or I could let you use one of my computers to access the internet while you wait. If you want to sit around for that long while I look at you.
How I view him... He was my father when I was alive, and he made this body, so... I guess he's still my father. He was definitely a genius...
... If you let me use your computers, is there anything I should, uh, avoid? Because, you know, there's something I will, kind of. Want to look up. Related to this.
[can she study how to fuck, in other words.
Her AI core, for what it's worth, is already loaded in to match human sensitivity and feelings during sex, though that's less apparently intentionally programmed and more an emergent thing of being mapped to a human brain.]
There's a website around here that would be good for that. I'll bring it up.
[The screen changes to said website. It's one of those sexual advice websites with sections on how to perform various acts.]
By the way you already have sexual functions comparable to a human. It seems to be a natural consequence of the brain mapping rather than anything specifically programed in.
But I can still look at finding a way for you to use any standard modules that you might want, since you might find other ones that you want. And it's not like a basic sex module would be completely useless for you, since it would let you tune your sensitivity to whatever levels you wanted.
[Reva just, nods. She really, really doesn't want to think about how her sexual functions got there, but it's... good to know it's a natural consequence? She guesses? Right.
She does start reading, though.]
Tune your sensitivity, huh... Is it just, more sensitivity is better, or...?
[She's studying this site pretty thoroughly, at least.]
[Cass is still working, her soul art flames humming.]
Not necessarily. It's all about finding a level you like and are comfortable with. That might be your current levels, it might be a bit lower or a bit higher. Really I recommend starting at your default sensitivity levels and seeing how that works out.
For a sexual newbie I recommend starting with the basics. For some people that's plenty and they never see any need to go beyond. Others decide to get more experimental.
Naturally I'm up for it. Also, I'm a little surprised you two are asking, but only a little. By this point we like and trust each other enough, after all we've been through together.
[By this point she's settled into a relaxed posture with her hands on her lap. Her face remains in deep concentration as she continue examining Reva's AI core. Her soul arts flames haven't died down once this whole time.]
Let me make it easier for you. Think about all the things you've accomplished. Now think what you would think of some other person who did those things.
You're better off asking Stacia about what she likes, I'm sure she'll have no problem telling you. Though she does have defiiinite subby tendencies, I've noticed. As for me, I like tenderness and also being petted or having my ears scratched during sex. I also like being in a dominant position, but I'm flexible about that with people I like and trust enough. Like you and Stacia~ I have other preferences I could list, but those can come out later.
No worries, you'll find out what you like when the time comes.
Ah, I think I just figured something out. Give me a little bit to figure out the exact implementation and then I'll be able to give you the ability to use any standard module you want. Well, those that don't require hardware you don't have.
Ahaha. I gave up on figuring out what makes you tick and just focused on locating the more relevant parts of your code like the bits dealing with your senses, things like that. Most of you are basically a black box, but I at least figured out how to fiddle with what goes into and out of that black box and how to get said black box to allocate processing power to a task.
Long story short, after I install this, if you think really hard about installing a module from a drive you're holding in your hand while cycling your soul energies, it'll happen. Something like that? You'll have to do the same thing for interacting with modules like adjusting settings or getting the module to do something specific.
Yes, basically. Okay, you're gonna experience some odd sensory stuff as I activate your senses to better understand how they work. Don't worry, it'll be fine.
[What follows are stuff like colors creeping across Reva's vision, or pin-and needle sensations, or bizarre flavor combinations, or the sensation of something lightly pressing down on her.]
Okay, I got how your senses work. Installing now... And it's done.
Your frame isn't made with the same modular design as most frames, but I know someone who's good with making custom hardware so getting a modem that'll work won't be an issue. Or if you wanted to skip the wait, I could give you a modified version of my personal wifi module. It requires channeling your soul while you're using it, but it doesn't require any hardware installation.
It should get easier as you become more used to it and the routine I installed adjusts to your soul flame. But congratulations. Now you can install any module you want. Just make sure you only use reputable module sources. Your installation module has some built in malware detection, but it's difficult to catch everything. I also have some spare miscellaneous modules lying around.
The anticipation too much for you? [Cass giggles.] Not to worry, you can always decide later. Or just play it by ear and install any module that catches your eye as they come up.
for cass
Absentmindedly, without even intending to, she finds herself at Cass's door. Crap.
Well, no chickening out now. She knocks, a bit hesitantly.]

[Cass's voice says this right as Reva knocks. It probably has something to do with the camera outside the door.]
Nice to see you again. [She smiles.] So what's the occasion?
no subject
... And also, to verify one thing:]
Nice to see you, too. Just to check, is asking a formality and you already know somehow?
[She doesn't put anything past Cass at this point.]

[She's DEFINITELY overheating a little. How can she just say that so casually?]
I'm pretty sure I'm, uh, physically capable. But also, I haven't ever... tried. And I don't trust most people enough to figure it out, so...
[In other words, she does trust Cass enough.]
