Hazel Stone is a witch from the Morganic Court Arcane Academy, placed in the Summerheart Court, and is a punk rock fan who hates authority and is a trans girl, which is awkward, when her grandfather is the former hero and current headmaster of said academy.

[ Melissa sits in Hazel's makeshift lab, with the same awkward stiffness as someone who's at a doctor appointment and not sure whether or not the doctor's going to do something painful to her. She honestly has no idea what to expect here. ]

So, uh, I'll be honest - I really don't know how much of this stuff works. I dunno how much help I can be here.

[Hazel's sitting down, a notebook and pen in hand, and she's already starting on the notes.]

You said it's called a 'Tulpa', and it functions like a projection of yourself?

Kind of? It's not exactly myself, it's more like... my other side, I guess? The exact relationship is different for different people, but for me...

Look, would it help if I just pulled her out now?

Yo! Nice to meetcha!

[ The tulpa looks... human-ish? Hazel probably has at least heard of vocaloid concerts. Allegra is like that, in the flesh.

She reaches out to grab Hazel's hand for a handshake. ]

The name's Allegra Power! I'm Melissa's tulpa, so please do all the sceince you want at me!

[ In the background, Melissa is still sitting in her chair, kind of spacing out. ]

Okay. Handshake. Right. She can do that.]

Right. So, uh. Allegra. Right? You have your own... identity? Separate from Melissa's?

I like to think of myself as the other side of Melissa! Everything that's in her head that she doesn't think she can express as Melissa, I can do for her. Same brain, different me.

You can call me a split personality if you want, that's basically right. Melissa isn't really passed out, though, she just kind of handed me the wheel and got in the back seat.

[there is some FURIOUS scribbling right now.]

I have so many questions.... But I guess to start, you can't both be, ah... 'active'? Is that the right word? Can you both be moving and aware at once?

[meandmyself]

Sort of? It's awkward, though, if we're both doing stuff at once, we each only have about half a brain to do it with.

[ Demonstration: Allegra and Melissa high five. It's kind of a clunky gesture, and Melissa is still staring off into space during it. ]

Way harder is both seeing stuff at the same time. Either we're both seeing through my eyes, or both seeing through hers. Try to mix that up and it makes Melissa nauseous.

[She goes over her notes, thinking.]

I wonder if that's something you could overcome with training... I'll put a note here to look into that more, later.

Next, can you tell me more about how your manifestation works? What does Melissa do to make you appear?

[Allegra gestures, and Melissa snaps out of her trance. It's a question for her, after all.]

It's hard to explain... like, what do you do to make your arm move? It's like that.

I was thirteen the first time she manifested. She just really wanted to get out of my head, so I went, okay, here you go, and boom. Finally met face to face.

Since I was ten, I think. A tulpa exists in your head well before it exists outside of it.

[ Probably generic jamjar setting because he doesn't mesh with magic academy. in terms of magic stuff I often minor things gained from spirit pacts or summon spirits or w/e. Alternatively can play off whatever other hobbys or quirks of hers you think would be fun to play off of ]

[Jamjar works! She also likes to do parkour in high heeled boots because she's a crazy person, or trying to learn guitar, or she might try to figure out how spirits work if you want to play with that.]

[ You know, even for someone who has been doing all sorts of feats he never would have thought were possible since he was a young teen... that's still impressive, seeing the woman leaping up onto the building he's on the roof of in heels. A decade later and he's still supplementing his own acrobatics with lesser spirits or with Linda's magnetism. Of course, she's not here at the moment but uh.

He claps a little as the other touches up on the roof. He thinks he's seen her around before, but. ]

[Hazel touches down on the ground, a bit lighter than she should. The slowfall spell has been one of her favorites since she found it, and it's been useful for supplementing her tricks, so she doesn't have to compromise fashion.

Still, she likes finding these weird places out of the way on her own, and she didn't expect to see someone else here.]

[ He imagined she was here on similar reasons, so she just laughs the fool, effortlessly going from his clap into a wink and smile, looking a little bit sheepish, like he was acknowledging he was the one intruding even thoungh he was here first. ]

[ A wave of his hand, holding a bottle of... something green in it. This world wasn't one where he could make energy drinks, but it was one where he could flavor juice and potion mixes. So, two worlds in, he's just following his own habits still. At his feet he's also got some sort of sandwich. Seems he was just having a meal. And he, ]
