[When Cia began to open up time portals all over Hyrule, sensing the chance for adventure, and that she was needed on the other side, Linkle jumped through without hesitation. Her crossbows at her side and her compass hanging from her neck, she was ready to save Hyrule, the princess, and so on.

Unfortunately, she ended up somewhere... different. She found herself in a bizarre garden, full of statues of some weird guy. Who is that? She doesn't know, but okay then.

She pulls a map from her pack and looks at it, very clearly lost.

But hey, she's not the only one who ended up walking through this weird portal. Clearly you did too. And Linkle is running up to you.]

Heeeey! Do you know where this is? I can't find it on my map at all...

[Looking up from her slate, at... huh.] I'm afraid I'm as lost as you are.

Huh... I guess that portal leading to Hyrule Castle would have been too much to hope for...

[... wait, that girl looks familiar??? huh.]

You were trying to get to the castle? What for?

Haven't you heard?

[... well, she hadn't heard herself until recently, so maybe that's not weird?]

Apparently, it's being attacked by monsters... Even Princess Zelda herself is fighting! So I'm gonna go lend them a hand.

Oh, I see. Thank you for your support, but please don't worry, that's all been resolved now.

Resolved? Already- Wait, I can't have gotten that lost!

It was a fairly recent development. I'm sorry, you travelled all this way in vain, but if you'd like to help there are certainly ways you can. The next step is Hyrule's restoration effort. Just because the castle is monster free doesn't mean the rest of the kingdom is, and there are many out there still in need of help.

[With the location of her mansion and the monsters swarming the surrounding areas, visitors aren't something Cia gets often, not without her minions, as dumb as they may be, warning her. The only visitors she was anticipating were the Legendary Hero and the Princess and the rest of their forces.

So, when she is out for a walk through her garden in an attempt to relax her nerves, she is very much confident that she is alone. Yet, she hears a voice--not of wizard, dragon, or any bokoblins, but clearly that of a girl. It catches her off guard and she spins on her heel to face the girl. She is relieved she went out of her way to put on her mask; the look of surprise on her face is more of that of a nervous girl than some wicked sorceress and keeping her reputation intact is important.]

You! What are you doing here?

And what are you wearing?

Huh? What about my tunic...?

[She's distracted, looking down at it, before looking up at Cia. Hm... Someone like her can't possibly be the source of the monsters. In fact, it never even crosses Linkle's mind. Instead, she assumes this woman must be just as lost as she is.

The mask is... weird, but hey, everyone's gotta have their fashion choices.]

Oh! I get it! The clothes mean you recognize who I am, right? Don't worry, now that I'm here, you're going to be okay!

[...She doesn't know how to take that. Any of that. Just why would she know this girl based on clothes alone? She looks like someone running around pretending to be Link.

And be okay? Cia is arguably the only person who could be okay in this area, what with it being hers and all.]

Um...come again? I hadn't realized I was in any danger.

[Does this girl not know where she is? Does she not know about the monsters? How did she get here? Why isn't she running away? Cia has so many questions and is caught so off guard that her mind is finally away from all those things weighing on it, even if only for a moment.]

Well... I don't really know where this is, but...

[She seems a little embarrassed.]

But, there's supposed to be monsters all over, right? And when that weird portal opened up, it felt like I was needed on this side... So, even if I'm a little lost, this is still where I'm supposed to be, I'm sure!

Though you must be lucky if you haven't seen any monsters yet. Don't worry about them, though! They're no big deal.

--an interesting perspective you have there. There are monsters here, however, so you'd best get going to be safe. You're liable to get yourself hurt with that confidence.

[With a gasp, the young zora whirls around to face the source of the voice, with her trident at the ready. Mipha had been lost in thought, staring at one of the somewhat familiar statues... and she seems embarrassed that she was so distracted, as well as turning her spear on the hylian.]

O-oh! I-- [...and now she's just shocked about Linkle's resemblance, if faint. Mipha quickly lowers her weapon, a blush tinging her face, and shakes her head.] I... I'm terribly sorry. No, I do not. I was trying to figure that out myself, actually...

[Her other hand instinctively comes to rest above her chest, and she attempts to look less frazzled than she is. Standing at full height, she's still a few inches shorter than the other woman.]

Huh...

[Wait. Hold on. She peers closer.]

Wait a second, you're a Zora? [a+ observation, linkle.] Does that mean we're near Zora's Domain...?

[miphasgrace]

[Mipha shakes her head again.]

I don't think so... [She eyes one of the nearby statues again, then sweeps her gaze across the rose bushes and tilted mansion.] I was at home, but... there was a strange light, and now I am here.

More of those weird portals, I guess...

[She folds her arms.]

I guess Hyrule Castle being here was too much to hope for.

[Her confusion about "portals" is overridden by Linkle's latter comment.]

You're... you're looking for the castle? [She looks awfully surprised, and more than a little worried.] Surely you don't intend to approach it!

Of course! There's a big battle going on there. Since I'm the legendary hero, I've gotta go help them out!

[ YOU HAVE CHOSEN THE WRONG PERSON ]

[Do you feel the heat, Linkle? Do you feel the heat of your bad decision?? Volga turns, leering at the young woman with hidden eyes. Her appearance doesn't matter (humans all look the same, anyway) - she's clearly a trespasser, and possibly one of the Hyrulean Army.]

[Luckily for Linkle, even under malevolent brainwashing, a warrior's honor comes first. He clanks his spear's other end heavily on the ground, cracking it.]

Draw your weapon.

I don't get what's happening, but it looks like I've found the bad guy...

[She pulls her hood up over her head, and draws her twin crossbows, taking a ready stance.]

I'll give you one chance to back down. I am the legendary hero, after all!

Hmph.

[The dragon knight cracks a smile, if only for a moment.]

You may call yourself what you want. You'll still burn with the rest.

[Hylians burn very well, after all! Here, you can try it yourself, enjoy the flames.]

[He's a quick dodger and even quicker to strike back with his spear, though it's clear he underestimated her.]
