OC Call Me Out Meme!
If you want an OC who isn't on this list, leave a comment and I'll tag them in. Otherwise, just tag toplevels, we'll hash out a setting for the thread and go!

Alice Kozakura
Her father, Ulrich, is a 'legendary hero', one who saved the country from its calamity in his youth... Or so it is said, but in truth, he betrayed the goddess he was meant to serve, and instead spread a religion to worship her opposite, the god of chaos and darkness. And Alice herself? In her youth, she was a boy named Lucifer, believed to be a child sent from heaven to help guide the world to a better life. In truth, this child was simply the product of Ulrich and a demon woman, but Ulrich could never admit to that while unmarried, so instead he staged finding a divine infant.
Lucifer was raised with two faces. On the surface, to all, Lucifer was a child of wisdom and hope, dispensing holy advice and working miracles. But at Ulrich's command, Lucifer would don a mask, and as a demon, commit acts of terror and destruction, to 'frighten non-believers of the church into joining them for their own safety'- In truth, killing the enemies of the church.
Eventually, Alice found out all of Ulrich's hidden truths, and ran away. Using her shapeshift powers, she hid as a girl, took the name Alice Kozakura, and used her powers of healing to work as a traveling doctor. Alice is ultimately a kind and caring girl, though one who is a bit nervous talking to new people, and when she makes friends, she tends to enable their weirdness. She's also prone to intense self-doubt, anxiety, and deals with her problems by throwing a smoke bomb and running. Still, a sweet girl.
Zinnia
As a child, Zinnia was cursed by an unfair god. In addition to her monster form, she was cursed to bring misfortune to those who showed her kindness. In place of gratitude, she could only cause harm. And on top of it all, at random times, she would go into fits of berserk rage she could not control, harming all around her in blind fury.
Freed by the Princess Aster, and given a name, she fled into the wild to live among monsters. However, when Aster went on her journey to save the world, Zinnia of course accompanied her. Over the course of her journey, she learned to appreciate people, to grow to like people instead of fearing them, to learn that the world was worth saving. And over time, she even grew to like her cursed form, to the point where when she was given the chance to have the curse lifted, she chose not to, to keep her body as it is.
Overall, Zinnia is awkward. She was raised in a forest around monsters, she's only ever seen the worst of humanity before her journey, aside from Aster. However, she believes very strongly in repaying debts, and doesn't quite understand how human society works, as her mentality is closer to a wild animal's. However, having reintegrated into society after the journey, she is slowly learning the ropes, and even learning to have fun wearing pretty clothes instead of furs she's hunted herself. Money is still hard for her, though. It's weird and she doesn't like it.
Kanin de la Pine
Well, they're actually androids, a fairly common guess due to the glowing blue lines that run up and down their skin while they're magical girls. But normally, Kanin, aka Type:Green is a normal-seeming girl. A kind of a shitty person, though. Embodying the Trickster, Kanin is prone to seeking fun only for herself. Resentful of humanity, she simply does whatever she wants to try to spite them. Beating anyone at video games at an arcade, flirting with them only to shoot them down, the works.
Unfortunately heroic, but still kind of a jerk, Kanin almost never says what she's truly thinking. Her words are her weapons, and the reactions she gets her battlefield. Prone to deceiving others, she doesn't believe anyone could ever truly trust her, so she never bothers to try to form that trust in the first place.
for Riku @thebreakofdawn
Even so, despite this, she seems to be doing remarkably well. Throwing knives are embedded in many of the trees and the ground, and a few lie around where they fell after sinking through a Heartless's body. Scorchmarks and remnants of ice also coat the ground. Gouges, craters, destruction- The battle here has been quite fierce.
But she can't last forever. Her left arm is- Not broken, she can tell, but hard to move. Dislocated? Her face is bloody. Her supplies are low. Even her smoke bombs don't seem to deter the monsters, as they can find her anyway.
With nothing else, she readies a sickle in her one free hand, ready to fight... Even if she knows it's hopeless.]

Nevertheless, he couldn't simply just let this be.
Which is why the second he sees this, he jumps into the action, going in straight for the Curaga before slamming a slash from above towards the multitude of Heartless before speaking up, a simple question brought up. ]
Are you alright?
no subject
[She is. Which is odd. That was a hell of a healing magic, and she flexes her arm experimentally.]
I am. Thank you. But please be careful, these beasts seem to be immortal!

[ This would be a lot funnier if this world was Corona, but it isn't as if he's making that joke on purpose to begin with.
Nevertheless, he takes some well practiced strikes at the Heartless with his keyblade; slowly but surely diminishing their health before they fade away, the hearts they captured floating into the sky, returning from whence they came. ]
Alright, I think that's all of them...
no subject
... You saved my life. You have my deepest gratitude. But how is it that you were able to slay them?
no subject
[ He moves it around as if to show her. To be fair, he doesn't like the idea of feeling unable to do anything to the Heartless without it either as the concept doesn't exactly sit well with him. ]
It draws the Heartless to me, but at the same time, I can use it to slay them.

[She looks at him, somewhat suspiciously.]
It seems... you are no mere traveler, young sir.

kotoha
really she had just felt the itch to leave america for at least a little while. and she has some leads to follow on... whatever the hell is happening to her, anyway.
so there's no reason not to make an excuse for an acquisitions trip. she doesn't properly work for Ash Grove Books, but she knows isak is always looking for anything interesting. it's on her third day in tokyo that she finally makes her way to bunkyo.
folklore. fairy tales. youkai. demons. monsters. anything, everything she can get her hands on. the older the better. japan might not be the best place to look, but--any lead she can get, at this point. one sign catches her eye, after a bit of wandering. kakimoto books.
shiori steps inside, ignoring the bell chiming as the door opens. her fingers twitch for a cigarette, but now definitely isn't the time. she starts towards a display, leaning forward to inspect it with curiosity. ]
no subject
When the bell rings, Kotoha looks up, and. Oh. Okay. That's a... very attractive woman. In very strange clothes. That was not her normal kind of customer. And she has to take a moment to try to reprocess what she's seeing, before she's all smiles again, the professional shopkeeper.]
Good afternoon, and welcome to Kakimoto Books. Can I help you find anything?
no subject
she thumbs the star of david pendant around her neck, trying to figure out how to explain herself while... making any kind of sense. black-painted lips press into a line, briefly, as she thinks.
this isn't exactly a place she expects to find anything. when shiori speaks up, her japanese is flawless, but there's a twinge of a hard-to-place accent to it. ]
I'm... not sure. I came to Jinbocho just trying to find... well, I don't know, exactly. Something for folklore research, I suppose? It's kind of complicated. Do you have anything for fairy tales and mythology that works from the original texts? Not just retellings.
no subject
[Her brows furrow, as she thinks.]
I mostly deal in children's books, but let me think... If you're wanting fairy tales and myths from the original texts, should I assume you're looking for ones older than Andersen?
no subject
I know Andersen by heart. But... the Grimms, Snorri Sturluson, the Nihon Shoki. Ovid, maybe. Things like that. Not versions you'd normally give children, I know. But honestly, I'm not even sure what I hope to find in... whatever I am looking for.
no subject
May I ask what you need it for? Perhaps I can help. My grandmother left me a copy of the Kojiki and the Kojiki-den, though I can't sell those...
no subject
I don't know how to explain it without sounding like some tryhard middle schooler. [ you know. chuuni making shit up times. ]

2baki
More relevant to you, you have found yourself, after your various Exalted shenanigans, on what appears to be a shanty town of high schoolers, the D-Rank students.
It's there that a girl, in a school uniform, with fox ears and a fluffy tail, carrying a flag that is. actually an old tablecloth and a laundry pole. the flag has "CHAOS" emblazoned on it in spraypaint.
also this girl is immediately stopping to stare at you.]
Hey, I haven't seen you before. Are you a new student? Transfer student? At this time? Oh, are you taking Celia's 'mysterious student' role? Hi!
Re: 2baki
[She's so confused. Of course, she's not wearing a uniform. She's in actually very fancy clothing, fumbling for a long smoking pipe, and just. Staring.]

[well.
you asked.]

I don't know what you're talking about, I don't know where this is, and I am certainly not D-rank anything.

[NAILED IT]
But no one above that would ever come to the D-Rank town...
