VALR + RWBY POST

[THIS IS A POST FOR CHARACTERS OF THE RWBY CANON AND VALR TABLETOP GAME TO MEET.

VALR is a game set on Remnant, very similar to the show. Grimm exist and attack, Huntresses fight them, empowered by Dust. In this Remnant, though, the countries are Verse, Stanze, Octavias, and Canto. Our heroes are centered in Lantern Academy. The Grimm are big, just as deadly, and occasionally immortal or made of humans. And the fate of the world is controlled by a small black book.

But, more importantly, we're a bunch of stupid teenagers, mostly. Whether or not you're from another universe ported over, or an AU, or there's a mutual jamjar game going on, post your toplevel here and thread with each other. Team up with Huntresses from another universe to take out the biggest, nastiest Grimm, or just gossip about who's dating who.]

Well, the easy answer is "which nations flourished in the face of the Grimm, and which didn't". Different nations, different politics, different situations for those of us of the bonus appendage persuasion. Slightly, anyway.

Why that happened is a really good question, though. There's not usually one decision that makes or breaks international politics. Usually.

We're doing our best, but I don't know if you've ever gotten into open shooting warfare with the president of your own country. It's surprisingly hard.

[SHE SHOULDN'T ADMIT TO THAT OUT LOUD BUT AT LEAST ANOTHER FAUNUS WOULD PROBABLY UNDERSTAND.]

Nope. I'm guessing that's a unique development to your version.

I don't really have a name for what we're doing, and I'd probably go a little less faunus-coded if I had to pick one. Or at least use "talon" or "wing" instead, because I'm egocentric that way.

Right... Well, at least you're not them.

[She twitches her ears, nervously.]

Though Vale doesn't really... have anyone in charge anymore. Not after Beacon fell.

Grimm got that bad, huh?

[She just... turns the camera around to show Anand again. Beacon, in ruins, with a giant draconic Grimm frozen in place on top like a horrible ornament.]

Yeah that's pretty fucking bad.

I'm gonna put that on the list of things to avoid in this timeline.

We didn't even know about it. It was like... it was part of the mountain, until it woke up.

And then it was making more Grimm. And more Grimm are drawn to it.

We fought a dragon that ate and then breathed Dust. Easier to kill, thankfully, but the implications were a lot more worrying.

Do I even want to know what happened to get the attention of something that massive?

Do... Does your world have the Vytal Tournament?

Yeah, there's...more to Grimm than we thought, apparently. Really hope that's just our timeline, if there's more than one.

And no, nothing called that, although the Huntsman Academies do have a regular combat tournament for students. Officially we went undefeated. Unofficially we got our asses kicked in an alley by royalty.
