ROAR! BRAVE BEAST SOUL SQUADRON, VALORANGER!

The Earth has been conquered by the wicked governance of the TOP, the Total Obliteration Party! The cruel Dark President D.V.L. rules with an iron first, subjugating the world mercilessly, bringing fear and suffering the world over! There is no hope nor freedom on Earth, as long as D.V.L. reigns!

But not all is lost! Resistance, a resistance movement, has chosen to fight back! And those who will fight, those who are brave enough to stand up to protect the world and all who live there, regardless of their own safety, are chosen by the Earth! Granted a Brave Beast Soul and Brave Bracer, these five souls of dauntless courage become the Brave Beast Soul Squadron, Valoranger!

Valorangers! You will travel the world, defeating the local rulers and extensions of D.V.L.'s will, the Governasts, and free the people! You will fight your way through the Wicked Cabinet, and one day, you will free the Earth from the Dark President's clutches!

VALORANGER is a tabletop campaign run in, obviously, Valor. The characters will take on the role of a sentai team, freeing the world from the clutches of evil. You will be empowered by the powers of various animals, granted powers based on the animal that chose you, and transform to fight.

The game will be kept as close to Super Sentai in tone as possible, so please keep that in mind when you're making characters.

NOTE: The Red Ranger, in accordance with Sentai traditions, will have a little bit of extra plot attached- Red will be a rookie who is not yet a member of Resistance at the first session. Beyond that, just follow your heart in making your character.

Availability: Pretty much anything not Saturday 8-11 CST or Monday 7-11 CST.
Character Concept: Either a rough-and-tumble-but-jovial sort, or the tryhard-at-being-cool that's actually not cool at all. As for animals, either something heavy/strong/defensive stereotyped, or a beetle if it's not too out of theme with others' choices.
Setting Questions: Beyond the Red, how beholden are we to traditional team colors among the other five? i.e. can i be purble,

Red/blue/yellow/green/pink/white/black all good. violet/orange/etc will require a VERY strong pitch.

Availability: Out of these three days, Thursday is the only one that works for me, and only after 6 PM CST.
Character Concept: Valoranger Fox Red! A young lady who has been burning with the desire to join the fight against T.O.P. for years and to live up to her knightly ideal... Which rather contrasts against her lackadaisical attitude and playful propensity for trickery and the finer things in life.
Setting Questions: On a scale from Zenkaiger to "this probably belongs to Kamen Rider," how much of the dystopia is comically horrifying to actually horrifying?

EHHHHhh probably around halfway in there. It's gonna be mostly comically horrifying but when we get the Important Beats, it'll be more serious. Like, some Governasts are gonna be like 'all humans have to walk on their hands in my zone' and some will be like 'you get one piece of stale bread a day and all other food is mine'.

Availability: Tuesday: 6 PM EST - 11ish EST. Thursday: 6 EST - 10 EST. Saturday; Basically whenever.
Character Concept: A young former actor, this Blue (or another color, I'm flexible) approaches everything with overdramatics and flair. If you're thinking Shiguru from Kiramager, that's the main inspiration, yes.
Setting Questions: Can't think of any right now, but I will let you know if I come up with any!

Name: Amber
Availability: Any of these days would work for me! My only game currently is on a Monday.
Character Concept: An unabashed lover of all things feminine with some considerable pent-up aggression, especially towards the TOP!! Catch me making grabby hands for Pink, but I'm good with any color. (Also, swan? Swan.)
Setting Questions: Can't think of anything at the moment, but that'll probably change if I do think of something.

Name: Mags
Availability: All of these work for me, though Saturday is best. I work from 10-6 EST though, so Tuesday and Thursday would have to be in the evening for me
Character Concept: An older, more experienced member of the Resistance who was either there when the resistance was first formed, or is someone who was either in the police or military or something before the world was taken over depending on the how long TOPs been in power. Probably the Black Valoranger, though this concept could also theoretically work as a potential sixth ranger if you don't go with an npc for that eventuality.
Setting Questions: Is the TOP's takeover a recent thing, or have they been in power for a while?

They've been in power for a while! Most places have given up on fighting back, and there's places where there are people who have never known a life outside of TOP's rule.

Name: Gray
Availability: Due to living in Taiwan it would have to be after 7 PM EST for me to make it, and 8 PM would be better for my sleep schedule. I could make Tuesdays and Thursdays then, but not Saturdays.
Character Concept: The kid of someone who's already in the Resistance, desperate to step up and make a difference despite their parents trying to keep them out of it. Alternately, perhaps as a sixth ranger concept, someone who's part of their own smaller rebellion group until the Resistance barges in to liberate their city and they join the fight.
Setting Questions: Nothing at the moment

Name: Vehrec
Availability: All day Tuesday and Thursday, But I'm busy Saturdays from 7-11AM and 5-9PM pacific time. And also, mealtimes, so probably cross out 3PM your time as well. So let's just ignore Saturday.
Character Concept: I'm thinking about either a former TOP enforcer kicked out of the organization for failure, now determined to tear it down, or a warrior who fought to stop D.V.L. but was frozen for X years in a glacier.
Setting Questions: What is the weakest TOP minion called?

Terrofficer- Mechanical police grunts who are hardwired to serve the hierarchy of TOP, mass-produced and honestly not very good. A single average human adult could take a single Terroficer in a 1-on-1 unarmed fight pretty handily... but Terrofficers move in swarms, and are all equipped with a knife-blaster combination weapon.

They're not very smart, but there's a lot of them, and they're easily replacable.

Character Concept: Valoranger Songbird...Yellow? This feels yellow. A passionate young probably-woman who has long protested the oppression of DVL through song and musical composition and is now channeling that into sonic-damage violence. Bright, cheery attitude and probably a lot of linking Jet Set Radio Future music if that's cool.
