It seemed to me like that ball hit you fairly hard. Are you hearing any ringing at all?

Ah, no, don't worry, it's not a concussion. This sort of thing happens a lot, so I'm pretty sturdy!

[At least he can confirm he won't need to bring her to a hospital or anything. Welt helps her back to her feet and looks over at where the ball was kicked from.]

Unless you don't have any better routes, it'd probably be better if you took another way. This much seems avoidable, at least.

To a cafe! I just finished my daily running, so I was going to get something sweet to drink.

Maybe I will. It's not often that I get to connect with the younger generation. [Even if he did keep in touch plenty with the Bronya he knows, but that's a whole other thing connected to their shared title.

[Welt falls into step with her, taking the time to adjust for how quickly she's going.

Or how slow, whatever the case might be.] Is there anything you can recommend from this cafe we're going to? If you need a frame of reference, I tend towards having a good cup of coffee to start the day.

I'm more of a soda person than a coffee person, but I've heard they make great coffee! I know another guy who's always tired and I've seen him do some complicated orders, and they seem to manage it fine...

A passing bicyclist sort of plows her over, sending her spinning aside into Welt.]

[--oh, good grief. Welt, for his part, saw the bike coming and tried to pull her back, but... well, that happened.

He's already catching her, pulling her to safety after she gets slammed into, and checking her for injuries.]

Hey! Are you okay!?

[He gets the sudden feeling he's going to be asking this question a lot.]
