[She can't tell what... Gravemoss? Is drawing. But it's probably not good- A chunk of ice is flung to try to stop that.
... But their words shake her. That's not possible- An organ farm by the police? It's so ridiculously over-the-top it's almost laughable. There's no way that's true. But... What if it is?
A wall of ice intercepts the shrapnel, before shattering into a hundred pieces.]
If that's true... Then you should talk to a hero about it! We'd stop anything like that in a heartbeat!
[ andrew intercepts the ice, moving to stand between his sister and his enemy. the rock balloons out from his arms, protectively shielding the villain behind him...
and then he starts talking. ]
Sarah Casey and Joel Anderson. They've been running a low-income apartment complex a few towns over. Over half of the "stock" were dead when we got out. [ he rotates however she does, careful to block anything else sent gravemoss's way. ] Try taking out your own trash, and maybe then you can lecture us on staying clean.
[ he scoffs. ]
But you won't. And by the time we were out, you heroes wouldn't even lift a finger to help. Not flashy enough for a photo op, right?
[ none of it's a lie. it's not even a lie by omission; they're the twins that fell through the cracks, that society fucked up on. and it doesn't excuse what they've done, but-
-but at the same time, he's not expecting her to try and fix anything. he's not even hoping she will. he's just talking to buy time for whatever big plan ashley's got cooked up.
Right? We're bad so we'd just get blamed for anything that happened, anyway! That's how it always is. So, hey, I've got an idea -
[ it certainly is violent - from the ritual circle she's drawn, roots rapidly begin to grow and tear through the street below them. the ground cracks, and vines far larger than the one that grew from her hand flail about, crushing cars and smashing through storefronts. ]
- why don't you just fucking die?
[ and then, at the center of the circle, the bulb of a carnivorous plant-mouth forms, all teeth and digestive fluids. and - an unsettling amount of eyes. gravemoss pats its side, a manic laugh shaking through her body as she points at snowflake with her other hand. ]
There's your dinner! Drink up.
[ and it lunges at snowflake with gnashing teeth, the thick vine it's attached to tearing up more street the further it pulls itself out of the ground. ]
Snowflake doesn't really have much experience with supervillains, after all, so fighting people is still hard for her. In the first place, she's hesitating, their words doing a lot to make her stop...
... and then out comes that thing.
She skates backwards on an ice platform, staring at the monster, before pointing her guns and unloading into it. The nice part about her ice guns is, no need to worry about reloading or ammo limits- As long as the air has water, she can go forever, and then some.]
Sarah Casey and Joel Anderson. I'll stop them... but I'll stop you, too!
[She continues to jump higher- Hopefully, the monster flower can't get any air- It's a plant, right? It has to stay rooted.
Part of her thinks she should call in backup, but... She needs to prove she can do this.]
The world may have been unfair, and I'm sorry for the tragedy that happened to you... but that doesn't give you the right to kill or destroy! What happened to you doesn't justify this!
